About Me

About Me

I am a counseling psychologist licensed in MD and DC, and I am PSYCPACT Certified allowing me to provide telehealth across certain state jurisdictions. I have built my practice to encompass a wide range of specialty areas and continue to develop my expertise in anxiety, relationships, trauma, and eating disorders.

My History

I have been in private practice for over two decades in DC and MD.

I earned my BA, MA and Ph.D. from the University of Maryland at College Park. My career began working with college and graduate students as I worked at GW, UMCP, Towson, and UMBC in different roles including staff psychologist, outreach coordinator, clinical supervisor and adjunct professor.

From there, I have sought continuous training in ACT, CBT, anxiety management, trauma recovery, couples therapy and eating disorders to inform my work with adults and adolescents.

My Values

I appreciate the cultural differences, lived experiences, and unique attributes each of my clients bring. The mind-body connection is one of the keys to working through mental health.

I maintain a curiosity for understanding that guides my work with clients in helping them change.

I am a clinician who believes in the scientist-practitioner model, and I use current research and theory to support my work.
